Rick Moore is the senior pastor of New Song Christian Fellowship Laguna Hills. He was born and raised in Torrance, California. Rick graduated from El Camino College, Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he received numerous degrees and teaching credentials.
At the age of 23, Rick gave his life to Jesus Christ while attending a Christian concert on May 17, 1980. From that day on, Rick has dedicated his life to serving God! Rick served under Steve Mays at Calvary South Bay for 8 years, and Chuck Smith, Jr. at Calvary Capo for 9 years.
Feeling moved by the Lord, Rick founded New Song Christian Fellowship, located at 23002 Moulton Parkway in Laguna Hills.
Pastor Rick is a gifted teacher, with a straightforward, uncompromising, witty and humorous style. In addition to working for the Lord, he also works for the Irvine Unified School District as a P.E./Health teacher at Creekside High School.
Rick lives in Laguna Niguel with his beautiful wife, Diane, along with three awesome children, Danielle, Jared and Alexandria. Both Jared and Danielle are national champions in basketball and track & field respectively. Rick enjoys sports, working out, reading and sharing God's Word, and hanging out with his family.
"My vision", Rick says, "is to spread the good news of God's love to countless thousands in our community. My passion is teaching people to pray, worship and learn the Word of God, in order to live a victorious Christian life." His recently completed Sunday series, "The Hope of Heaven" and Tuesday night's "The Power of Praying Together" were amazing. Currently, his Sunday series is "Living by Faith in a World of Fear" and the new Wednesday night series will be, "The Road to Recovery."
